Any mild comment regarding race is enough to get you lynched these days.

A Michigan state lawmaker is “under fire” at present for responding to data on the racial achievement gap in schools by saying “we can’t make an African-American white.”

State Sen. Marty Knollenberg (R) made the statement during a hearing on Thursday. He will now proceed to having his entire life and career destroyed.

“You mention why these schools districts fail, and you mention economically disadvantaged and non-white population are contributors to that. And we can’t fix that. We can’t make an African-American white,” he said at the meeting. “That’s just, it is what it is.”

How dare he?
