If I were to pick a fight with the West, but wasn’t willing to go toe-to-toe with America’s bombers, I’d choose one of the pussy countries in the coalition instead to poke and prod.
Canada or New Zealand, almost certainly.
Clearly, Duterte and I are on the same page with this.
Two weeks after being threatened with war, Canada is offering to bring home the containers full of garbage that sparked a diplomatic dispute with the Philippines.
A spokesperson for Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland confirmed a report by the Canadian Press that the Canadian government has made a formal offer to the Philippines to bring back roughly six dozen containers of household trash incorrectly labelled as recycling almost six years ago.
They will be shipped back to the Port of Vancouver if the offer is accepted.
Duterte understood who he was dealing with.
He decided to turn the heat up a bit because he knew that he was facing craven cucks who would fold like cheap suits under the slightest pressure.
Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte threatened in April to “declare war” if Canada did not take back the containers, which were shipped by a private firm in 2013 and 2014 and have been sitting at the port in Manila ever since.
Duterte later threatened to load the containers onto a ship and dump it on Canadian beaches if it was not retrieved.
His threat of war prompted Canadian officials to say for the first time that they were willing to bring it back after some negotiations took place.
He pulled a Kim Jong-un. Unlike Kim Jong-un, however, he didn’t need to build nukes and take on America head-on to prove to the world that you CAN tell the West to fuck off if you’ve got the stones and the support of the people in your country.
This is similar to the concept of leveling up.
When you’re a noob, you can’t take on the lvl 99 dragon boss – that’s just silly.
You have to start out small – by bullying Canada.
Then, when you have enough XP, you can start getting better kit and better weapons like nukes.
One day, Duterte might be able to level up the Philippines to North Korea’s level if he keeps picking his fights wisely.
